The UCSF Japanese Woodblock Print Collection consists of four hundred Japanese woodblock prints on health-related themes. It is the largest collection of woodblock prints related to health in the United States and an important component of the Library's East Asian Collection.

At Ueda-city, we consider the photographs and moving images produced in our area as our cultural heritage. Since 1996, we have been working on the preservation, regeneration, and reuse of these materials as part of our "local moving images digital archives" initiative.

This database of Ukiyo-e geijutsu, the journal of the International Ukiyo-e Society (formerly the Japan Ukiyo-e Society), has been constructed for ukiyo-e specialists and art lovers around the world. It was produced through collaboration between the Society and Nichibunken.
