ハワイ大学の日本コレクションには、国際文化協会（現在の国際交流基金の前身）及び奥村多喜衛牧師の家族より寄贈された1,500点ほどの幻燈資料があります。
There are about 1,500 magic lantern slides in the UHM Japan Collection, and these were the gifts of two donors: the Kokusai Bunka Shinkokai 国際文化振興会 (KBS), a predecessor of the present Japan Foundation 国際交流基金, and the family of the Reverend Takie Okumura 奥村多喜衛(1865-1951).

ここでは、バチカン図書館などが所蔵するマリオ・マレガ神父の収集したキリシタン関係文書および神父自身による資料等の目録・画像を公開しています。本データベースに搭載されるマリオ・マレガ資料は、1930年代、宣教師マリオ・マレガが任地大分において入手した臼杵藩宗門方を出所とする切支丹関係資料群と、彼の研究資料・書簡・文書などからなります。
The database contains a catalog of Father Mario Marega's images and the other historical materials regarding Japanese Christian (kirishitan) from the Vatican Library. Its contents are comprised of records that Mario Marega collected in the 1930s that were originally from the Usuki Domain's Office of Religious Affairs (shūmonkata) that, as well as Mario Marega's research material, letters, and documents.

The Meiji at 150 Digital Teaching Resource is a collaborative effort of the UBC Library, the Museum of Anthropology, the Centre for Japanese Research, the Department of History, and the Department of Asian Studies to promote the study of Japanese history and culture using digital materials from UBC collections.

近代日本の出版事情を探ることを目的として、明治前期の新聞・雑誌等に掲載された出版物の広告を集成したデータベースです。主たる採録対象は、「東京日日新聞」「絵入自由新聞」「東京絵入新聞」等の新聞、「出版書目月報」「出版月評」等の出版書目雑誌類で、明治23年末までの広告情報を広告全文とともに収めており、搭載広告書名のジャンルは極めて多岐に亘ります。
With the aim of exploring publishing circumstances in modern Japan, it is a collection of publication advertisements printed in newspapers and magazines in the early Meiji period.

２００２年マサチューセッツ工科大学が「visualizing cultures」という、画像中心の研究と習得を意図としたウエブサイトを制作した。ウエブを介することによって学術の革新化を図る試みである。最新の技術を利用して、その当時人々がどのように世界を見ていたのかを再現できるよう、これまで可能でなかった視覚資料を提供している。
Visualizing Cultures was launched at MIT in 2002 to explore the potential of the Web for developing innovative image-driven scholarship and learning. The VC mission is to use new technology and hitherto inaccessible visual materials to reconstruct the past as people of the time visualized the world (or imagined it to be).
Topical units to date focus on Japan in the modern world and early-modern China. The thrust of these explorations extends beyond Asia per se, however, to address "culture" in much broader ways—cultures of modernization, war and peace, consumerism, images of "Self" and "Others," and so on.

Collection of manuscript collected and written by Miyatake Gaikotsu during the Meiji, Taishō and Shōwa periods.
