Hakuen inshо̄ dejitaru ākaibu

泊園文庫には書籍・自筆稿本のほか書簡や軸物、印章が多数蔵されている。このうち関西大学博物館が管理している印章は、藤澤南岳のコレクションを中心に全部で178顆にのぼる。

南岳は書家として著名であり、書画芸術や篆刻についても高い見識の持ち主であった。彼が当時の関西芸術界における中心的存在の一人でもあったことは、大正2年（1913）京都蘭亭会の発起人になっていることや当時の諸記録からはっきり知ることができる。これら印章の数々はいずれも南岳の鑑賞眼に堪えた作品なのである。

ここに紹介するのはそのうちの178顆であり、泊園書院のもつ芸術的側面、その清雅秀逸な韻致をぜひ味わっていただきたい。

Hakuen bunko includes books, author's manuscripts, letters, scrolls, and seals. The seals that are under management of Kansai University Museum centre on Fujisawa Nangaku's collection, amounting to 178 seals. 

Nangaku was a famous calligrapher, with considerable insight on the art of calligraphy as well as engraving. He was one of the central forces within the Kansai art world, as can be shown through historical records that in 1913, he was the founder of Kyoto Renteikai. These numerous seals are works that were approved by Nangaku's highly deciphering eyes. 

The 178 seals that we introduce here demonstrate Hakuen Academy's artistic side, it is our hope that you will be able to enjoy its exceptional elegance.
