Kōyasan reiseki ehagaki

An ehagaki (picture postcards) that is centered on Okuno-in. The picture includes 50 sacred places within Kōyasan, such as Danjō-garan.

The ehagaki is issued from the Jyuzuya Shirobē, which is the purveyor of the head temple at Kōyasan. The ehagaki could be purchased from the main store outside of Kōya-san, as well as from a branch store located inside the mountain. Pictures are believed to be taken in the late Taishō period from observing the scenes of the Reihōkan ("Sacred Treasure Museum", opened in 1921) and the bilayered main hall of a Buddhist temple that was destroyed in a fire in 1926 seen in the photo. The Gobyōbashi that can be seen near Okuno-in also has a label that reads "Taishō 12, Gobyō-Goyane changed".
