東京大学文書館の所蔵資料は、2種類あります。

特定歴史公文書等

東京大学の教職員が職務上作成・収受し、組織的に用いてきた文書等（法人文書等）のうち、歴史資料として重要なものとして東京大学文書館に移管されたもの。

歴史資料等

歴史的・文化的な資料、または学術研究用の資料として、東京大学に関係する団体や個人等から収集したもの。

There are two types of material that we hold at Tokyo University Archives. 

Specified Historical Public Records and Archives:

Records and documents that were created by the University of Tokyo teaching faculty as part of their work, that have been transferred to the Tokyo University Archives, deemed important as historical material.

Historical materials:

Collected from organizations and individuals related to the University of Tokyo, as historical or cultural material, or material that can be used for academic research.
