公益財団法人鍋島報效会所蔵（佐賀県立図書館寄託）『鍋島文庫』に代表される佐賀藩関係資料の特徴は、多様な種類の日記が伝存している点だと考えます。それらは、藩主の側回りや藩政役所の業務の記録もありますが、多くは佐賀藩の上級家臣の家の日記です。

日記目録の記事総数はおよそ10万点と見込んでいます。そのうち現段階では、12816点（寛文元、延宝5〜6、延宝8、天和2〜元禄7、正徳2〜享保2、享保4〜12、安政4〜5年）の記事データを公開しています。記事データは、今後随時追加予定です。

One of the main characteristics of materials pertaining to the Saga domain such as "Nabeshima Bunko" is the variety of diaries that have been passed on. Many are written by ruling class vassals within the Saga domain, as well as records related to the administration of the domain.
